announced that they've agreed to conduct
an additional environmental study of
Hoback Wells, a proposal to drill 136
natural gas wells only 40 miles southeast

Wolves
in Teton County at risk under proposed plan:
Despite objections from county commissioners,
the Alliance and others, the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service and Wyoming are going ahead
with management plans that would allow wolves
to be killed on sight in the southern part
of Teton County for most of the year.

Future
of Bridger-Teton headquarters still in flux: In
a welcome move, Bridger-Teton National Forest
supervisor Jacque Buchanan recently decided
not to sell any part of the Lee Administrative
Site at the base of Teton Pass. However,
it still remains to be seen what will happen
with the B-T headquarters on North Cache.

WYDOT
pushes plans for 5 lanes all the way to Hoback
Junction:
The recession has postponed reconstruction of “Jackson South,” the
7-mile section of Hwy. 26/89/189/191 from southern South Park Loop Road to Hoback
Junction, until 2015. But Wyoming Department of Transportation officials are
nailing down plans for a 5-lane design of that section, despite community
opposition.
